Scaling for Success Cohort

📢 Exciting News! Communities In Schools is thrilled to announce the inaugural cohort of affiliates chosen to receive Scaling for Success funding for the 2023-2024 school year, thanks to a generous $165 million investment from the Ballmer Group. This first round of funding, totaling $13 million, will kickstart our mission to transform education in partnership with local schools and districts. With a focus on bridging the gap for underserved students, this investment will empower us to provide vital resources, including trained professionals, to connect students with the support they need to thrive in school. Together with our affiliate schools and licensed partners, we aim to scale our integrated student supports model to 1,000 new majority low-income schools over the next five years, bolstering student success, attendance, and graduation rates nationwide. The selected affiliates hail from fourteen states, and our 2023-2024 cohort is set to impact 213 new schools and enhance resources at 32 existing CIS sites, benefiting an additional 130,000 students. This groundbreaking initiative will also create 260 new jobs within schools, thanks to the private/public match investment.
